well now that it is about time to return home I will let you all know I am fine and well . I will try to write about my trip ha ha guess will have to do it when I get home and have time ! I can say that it has been great , the weather hot , sad must return to winter . food cheep . and yes a culture shock.. but I like it , as long as I do not have to work in this economy . If SS holds up I think I have found my retirement spot . Go to go be home in 3 days ..

Made it to Manila

Well after many hours I am at last in Manila . Got to the hotel around midnight . will go on to Cebu today .. not much time left here so more latter .

New Week

Hope everyone had a great weekend . On Sunday Best Buy had a sale so I was n Springfield standing at the door for 45 minutes , I hate the only 15 per store Got what I went after I was the first in line . I refuse to stand in the after Thanksgiving lines . I even got back to Forsyth in time to attend Church.

I worked hard all summer to get the new rooms dryed in , got it done and now have a hard time finding the energy to finish the job. I still have to lay the Bamboo floor . I hope to get some done before I go to the Philippines Saturday.

It has got cool here rain and no sun honstly I could do with out winter. To work I go Have a great day .

Fireplace

Well it has got cooler , the fireplace is now burning . Guess we should be happy yesterday there was 48 " of snow up North . Hummmm hope I do not see that much in 5 years .
I am working at getting everything in the shop ready as one week from today I will be on my way to the Philippines for 3 weeks . I am getting the shop stocked so when I return I will not have to rush to stock for Christmas. Not sure what effect the economy will have on the Xmass purchases. There was only about two weeks that it was slow here after Bush asked for the 700 billion.

OBAMA !! Well the election is over Seem like it went on forever, Am I happy with the winner ?? only time and how he handles things will tell . If he isn't in bed with the Arabs it should be ok . To solve the problems of this nation will not be a popular thing ,as people need to live more by needs and less wants.

Here gas is down to $1.99 wow I know I am forgetful but I can not remember when it was that low . How long will the price drops go on and when will they hit food?

The insurance man came today and wrote me a check from the wreck . my poor S10 first a deer ran into it now a Dodge . I will have to get it into the shop and get the repairs done , good thing is I can still drive it , but they offered a rental car also.

On my trip I have the flight booked all the way to Cebu the ticket from Manila to Cebu was 788. pesos Thats $16.08 for a 1 1/2 hour flight not bad,m about what it takes for me to drive to Springfield and back. I have started packing my bag am only taking one it will be a carry on so must plan well and pack tight .

Election Day

Well everyone is talking about history , today will make history . If one thinks about it history is forgot very quick. What is wrong with the american people that they do not think for thereself , we live in a time if it is on tv it is true ! Hummmm

Well I was in a auto wreck a week ago , I had a small whip-lash have gone to the doc , then to hospital for ex-rays today I went to the Chiropractor after a few snaps , twist and turns he sent me on my way .

I have been making a list of things to do and things to take on my trip , will be hard to run home and pick something up 2000 miles away . no matter how hard I think and try an sure that something will be left behind.

My first Post

Just created this to keep friends and family informed on what is going on in my life . You may or may not know that I have planed a trip to Cbeu in the philippines . I will leave from springfield Nov the 15th and return Dec the 6th.
Sure I have had a few short trips nothing over a week. This time I will take 3 weeks . First thing I want to do is get my teeth fixed, I have over the years lost most of my back ones , when I rerturn I should have a full mouth of teeth .
Then there is so much to see and do I have no idea what I will do but I hope to go and see as much as possible . I find that you can rent a room for as little as $9.00 a night sure one could spend $200 also .

Keep checking ,I will keep this updated I have a mini pc and think I can find internet connections most places .
